My Practice Philosophy

My philosophy is to treat and care for my patients as I would like my own family to be treated and cared for with respect, care, expertise and professionalism. I endeavour to achieve consistent safe and outstanding natural results.

about dr safvat philosophyOne of the most famous quotes that has touched and influenced me was Fred Hollows' who said: "Every eye is an eye, when you're doing the surgery there (in developing nations) that is just as important as if you were doing eye surgery on the prime minister".

Every patient is important to me, whether I am doing a minor procedure, cosmetic surgery or a complex reconstructive case; I genuinely care and look after my patients.

Plastic surgery whether Cosmetic or Reconstructive is a serious and significant operation. Patients who consider cosmetic surgery may have been contemplating about it for years, gathering information and mustering courage. It is a personal and private decision that needs to be treated with respect.

I am committed in providing all my patients contemplating surgery considered and personal advice, detailed information about their procedure in a language easily understood. I make sure they are clear about their options, recovery period, benefits and risks associated with the procedure they seek. I allocate as much time needed to answer all questions and address all concerns. Following surgery I closely monitor my patients. Follow ups are free of charge 6 weeks post operatively.

Upon discussing all of the above, together we come to a realistic decision that best suits your body, built and health and that we are both happy with. My focus is on combining skill and safety with a strong commitment to achieving natural and desired results for each of my patients.

My first and foremost aim is my patients' best health interest. Occasionally it is difficult but necessary to advise my patient that the procedure they are after is not in their best interest and help them with other more appropriate options if possible.  Dr Safvat derives great satisfaction in knowing that patients who come to him for advice and treatment depart with renewed self-esteem and wellbeing.

When I accept to take on a patient a sacred bond (Doctor-Patient) is made and I try my best to truly look after my patients. Plastic surgery is more to me than a job or business.
